STORYTELLING

During our work together, the intersection of business development and green economy policy has begun to manifest in tangible initiatives in New York. Public and private organizations are defining new programs and seeking strategic partners to ensure that diverse businesses and communities have equitable access to opportunities. The Growing Green partners are involved with and learning from these initiatives as they unfold and bringing these experiences to the collaborative. Whether it be waterfront infrastructure like the activation of the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, or upgrades to the built environment like HVAC retrofits, new information is flowing from a variety of sources through each of us. Since our work began, BOC was inspired to change their Construct NYC program to include educational modules on green construction. Construct NYC is a business education program for contractors in partnership with NYCEDC. This is what our three organizations are best at: helping small businesses navigate new and complex opportunities.
